Early Life
* John Howard was born in Sydney, on 29th 1939.
* Went to Earlwood Primary School, Canterbury Boy's High and University
of Sydney to study law.
* In 1962 John Howard became a solicitor of NSW.
* Married Janette on 4th of April 1971 and has three children. They
live in Kirribilli House in Sydney.
Achievements In Parliament
* Elected to Parliament in 1974.
* Mr Howard was Minister for Trade and Business.
* 1977 became Treasurer for five years.
* 1995 Elected Leader of Opposition of Liberal Party.
* March 1996 elected Prime Minister after his defeat of the Labor Party
at elections.
* As Prime Minister he :
* Introduced tighter gun laws
after the shootings at Port Arthur in Tasmania.
* 2000 introduced the Goods
and Services Tax that every good and service costs 10% more than its
original price.
* Introduced the ‘Work for
the Dole Scheme'.
* Sold the Sydney Airport.
* His government has poor relations with the Aboriginal People
as he would not officially apologise for the ‘stolen generations'.
* John Howard was the 25th Prime Minster in Australia.
