Legislative Assembly Chamber.

The Legislative Assembly (Lower House) is the Green Chamber in N.S.W
Parliament. It has 93 members each representing 93 electorates. The
Legislative Assembly was first established in 1856. The Chamber in
which they
meet was built in 1843 originally for the Legislative Council.
There are differences in the rules for the Legislative Assembly and
Legislative Council. One rule difference is that the Legislative
Council (Upper House - Red) is allowed to use telephones and computers
while the Legislative Assembly is not.
The Legislative Assembly is nicknamed "the Bear Pit" because it is very
small and they argue a lot.
The person that maintains order in the Legislative Assembly is called
the Speaker.
The Serjeant-at-Arms carries in the mace while Parliament is about to
sit. In the Legislative Council it is the Usher of the Black Rod that
carries in the Black Rod. The Legislative Assembly Mace is a
symbol of authority of the speaker. It is solid silver and gold plated.
