Grilled Turkey

Ingredients

* 1/3 cup of soy
* 1/3 cup peanut oil
* 1/3 cup cooking sherry
* 1/3 cup crushed ginger, fresh shredded ginger.
* 1/2 cup of lime juice
* 1/2 cup of lemon juice
* 1 tablespoon of garlic

Utensils

Marinating dish, grill or barbecue.

Method

Mix marinade ingredients and soak turkey overnight in marinating dish.
Grill on barbecue or in oven - grill.

Serve with salad.

Ingredients

* Soy Sauce - light or full strength doesn't matter
* Cooking sherry - good quality
* Oil
* Minced ginger (Chinese brand)
* Crushed Garlic
* Lime juice
* Lemon juice
 

Utensils

Large zip lock freezer bags
Cup Measure - preferably metal or glass as the flavours don't transfer.
Tablespoon - metal 


Method

Mix all ingredients together as a marinade

* Minimum of 24 hours to marinate with this recipe, the longer the better.

Grilled Tommy's Tatoes

Ingredients

* 40g butter
* 1/2 cup water (125ml)
* 1/2 cup flour (60g)
* 3 eggs
* 4 medium potatoes, cooked & dry mashed
* 1/2 cup grated tasty cheese (60g)
* Oil for deep frying

Utensils

Mixing bowl, saucepan, wooden spoon, electric mixer, absorbent paper towel & frying pan.

Method

Bring butter and water to boil in a pan.
Stir in flour and mix in well until mixture leaves the side of the pan.
Remove from heat and cool.
Place in a bowl and add eggs one at a time, beating well with an electric mixer.
Stir in mashed potato.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Drop 1 tablespoon of mixture in the oil, one at a time and fry until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper towels.

* Note : Serve as finger food for children or for an adult twist, serve with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce.

Cheese and Potato Bake

Ingredients


* 30 g butter
* 1 onion, peeled and chopped
* 6 medium-size potatoes sprinkle of salt and pepper
* 2/3 cup milk
* ¾ cup grated Cheddar cheese

Method


Put butter & onion in a bowl cook on high 3 minutes.
Peel potatoes. Slice them thinly.
Put half the potatoes into a 22cm round casserole.
Spread onion & butter over. Sprinkle with salt & pepper.
Arrange rest of potatoes evenly over.
Pour milk over. Sprinkle cheese on top
Cover with cling wrap. Prick. Cook on high for 8 minute
Remove Cover. Cook on high for 10 minute or tender. (If you like, put under grill to brown cheese and serve).
