Doing plays.

By Ivy Anne

Years Kindy to Year 6 have Italian lessons. Our teacher's name is Signora Raffaele. She is very nice and pretty.

We learn the Italian colours like Giallo-Yellow, Viola-Purple, Rosa-Pink, Blu-Blue, Rosso-Red, Bianco-White and other colours. The numero-numbers are uno-, due-2, tre-3, quatro-4, chinque-5, sei-6, sete-7, oto-8, nove-9 and dieci-10. Some words are Io sono - I am; Io - I; tu sei - you are; una or un- a; e - and.

We had lessons about Rome, lessons about the Gods of Rome and other things. Some Gods were called Mercury, Venus and Jupiter. On special days like on Easter, we talked about God.

We also play some Italian games like Bingo and other games. Younger children go outside and play outside games.

Presenting a Project.

For the past few weeks in Italian we've been talking about Carnevale characters. A few of the most common ones are Arlechino, Puchinella, Pantalone and Colimbina.

We are also doing a project on whatever we want to do about Ancient Rome. I'm doing Public Baths. You can present it any way you want to, I'm making a book most likely.

Playing games.

Every week we go to Italian lessons. We learn how to say hello and things like that. We learn Italian stories and characters.

Lately we have been learning things about Ancient Rome. Every Tuesday we go to the Library, watch a video or go onto the internet and look at many interesting things.
