Student Research Team preparing our Brooky
home page.
By Jake
On Tuesday 16th, another student and I were selected to go to
Valentines Restaurant for a part of the Warringah Rotary Club. Our
school's Student Research Team were organizing their web site because
they saw our web site and they liked it very much.
When we arrived we were greeted, given name tags and a drink and we had
dinner which consisted of pumpkin soup, meat and chicken and
vegetables. In between meals people like President Alan and some other
people in the Rotary Club spoke. Also Mr Taylor was asked to say some
words about the school and how the school computers work.
We received a pen and it was a very formal place.

On Tuesday 16th of September Mr. Taylor, Jake and I went to the
Warringah Rotary Meeting at Valentines Reception Lounge, Brookvale. Mr.
Taylor picked us up.
Rotary is a local businessmen's and women's club who raise money to
help charities. For example, the Rotary Club and our school sent 30
computers to East Timor. We are also sending to pay for someone to go
to university.
We met many of the members and told them about our school. We also met
Martina an exchange student from Brazil, I learnt a lot about Brazil.
After we sat down and had soup for an entrée, it was delicious.
Our main was a lovely
potato bake, beans, broccoli, chicken and steak. Before we left we were
given
a pen.
Our Student Research Team is doing their web page. They were also
pleased to have us.
I had a great time, lovely dinner and learnt a lot.
