Jenny telling
us about the library.
By Stefan
Today on the 17th December, 6T went to Warringah Mall Library to have a
tour.
We met a guide and she took us around. She explained to us how the
computers work. If you are under 16 then you have to be a member to go
on the computers, you can only go on the computers for an hour.
She also showed us the inquiry terminal monitors where you can find the
location of the book you want. They also have a newspaper section where
they keep newspapers for about a month. We saw peoples‘ paintings on
the wall too, they keep the paintings there for a couple of months.
There were many different types of books, adult, fiction, non-fiction,
children and many more. Some people got application forms for getting a
Library card.
It was a good excursion and I can't wait to get my Library card.
Searching

On the 17th of December, Year 6 went to Warringah Mall Library. We took
a short walk to the Mall and shortly after we arrived at the Library.
Jenny took us around the Library and she explained the different
facilities the Library has.
The Library has some computers for access to the internet and some for
terminals for finding books and to see what is on loan. You can use the
internet only when you've booked a place and you can go on for 1 hour
max per day.
Then we went around most of the sections like, non fiction, junior
fiction etc. We sat down for a little while and Jenny gave us some
forms to fill out if you wanted a Warringah library card. Then we got
in pairs and Jenny gave us some little questions to answers. My
question was 'find the Manly Daily dated on 2nd of December.
I had great time at Warringah Mall Library as it was the first time I'd
been there. I can't wait to get my card!
You can even
listen to music.
