Year 6 Leaders, 2003.

Rodney and I went to a Leadership Day at Terry Hills School on Monday 31st March. We went there to learn how to be a good leader.

First we had to listen to this crazy guy called Glen, he told us all about his life and how he made a youth club and he told us to reach for our goals.

At recess and got free lamingtons. After recess we listened to Glen a little more and then we got to play a few games. When we were finished the games we had to go into groups. When we were in our first group we were all given a different card with a topic on it. The reason for that was we were leaning how to make up speeches on the spot and to not say um.

After half an hour we had to go to another group. In this group we were thinking about ways to start a fundraiser and were thinking of cool ideas like crazy hair day, mufti days and stuff like that.

Once we were all finished that we were able to go out to lunch and we got free ice-cream as well. When we went back inside we had to get back into our groups and do all these really fun activities.

And after all the activities we had to go home it was a REALLY FUN day.

On Monday 31st March, Emma and I went to had Leadership Day. We left at 8:00am and arrived at Terry Hills Public School at 8:45am. We had to sign-in. We each received a folder with a list of what was happening on the day.

First thing we had a special guest come in to tell us what's your dream and what do you want to be when you grow up. It was amazing. He also told us that this man ran 100 metres in 5 seconds with lions chasing after him and lots more.

After that we were split into groups. Emma and my group went to the classroom to learn how speak without stopping or even saying um or ah.

Each person had to talk about their topic they chose. My topic was about rain and Emma's topic was about cats. It was great fun learning about how to speak.

When we came back in we were split into groups again. Our next work was listing down things that we could do donations to. Then we were doing something about deciding something to do at your school. Then we played games and fun activities.
