Every week three boys Jake, Norman and I go to Extension Studies at Balgowlah Boys High School.

On Wednesday 17th of September we had our biggest week as we had a Medieval Party and all three days of Extension Studies came together on the Wednesday. There we had man come and teach us about medieval life in Europe and their weapons which was very interesting.

We also were allowed to try on mail armour, helmets and shields. We got to carry swords which were heavy. Later on we went and had our Medieval feast where we had Medieval foods. We had about 20 minutes lunch so we could come in early and have our show where people would read a story.

The Tuesday group read about leaving for war and some of the others from that day said about loosing there families.

My day the Wednesday group wrote about working in the fields and how scared and hungry they were because the Baron would always take their food.

The Thursday group wrote about having to get ready as the army were running out of  men and some wrote about the baron and a few wrote about being Robin Hood.

The day was fun, funny and interesting.

On Wednesday 17th  everyone that goes  to Extension Studies went on Wednesday. There were around 70 students from such schools as Harbord, Cromer, Balgowlah North, Balgowlah Heights, Narraweena and Brookvale on the day. A man called James Adams was coming in for a lesson on Medieval times.

James Adam taught us about the weapons and how the people survived. He showed us such weapons as spears, swords and other weapons. After that we had a Medieval feast with such foods as pasta, bread and lots of other yummy foods were bought.

After lunch we had a Drama class and the students the week before had prepared a play set in Medieval times. The play was with such characters as villains, knights and fishermen.

Overall, it was a good day.

Every Wednesday I go to Extension Studies. Our school sent the three brightest students from the school to attend Extension Studies at Balgowlah Boys High.

We had a Medieval Day and we had to dress up in something Medieval.  A person by the name James Adams showed us some weapons in the dark ages (before 1000BC). He had some swords, maces and spears. He explained that his weapons were blunt so they were legal and the lot of weapons he had bought were worth about $20,000. He collected this in 20 years and found some bargains.

He told us the ways they tortured people and one method was to tie a persons arms and legs and then cut the muscles at his back, skin him and take out his rib cage apart from the top and bottom one, then take out his lungs while he was alive.

Then we had a look at his equipment.
