On Thursday the 14th of August the two School Captains Rodney and I
were invited to go to NSW Parliament House in Sydney.
We caught the ferry in the morning. It took about half an hour until we
were in the city. We had trouble finding Parliament House but then we
got
a map and we knew where we were going.
Once we arrived at Parliament House we had to wait in a really nice
room we had to wait for the other schools to arrive. Once all the other
schools arrived we all went in groups up the lift.
We went into another room, it had a big table in the middle with lots
of food and drinks on it. Brad Hazzard told us to have something to eat
and to
go around the room and get to know each other. Once we all had a bit to
eat
and got to know each other Brad took us down to show us other rooms.
First he took us to see the green room that is called Legislative
Assembly it was really nice and Brad gave us certificates for being
school leaders,
they were really cool. Then Brad took us into the red room which is
called
the Legislative Council it was really nice!
Then that was the end of the day and we went back to school. It was a
really cool place and it was a also a really interesting day.

On Thursday 14th of August, the School Captains Emma and I went to NSW
Parliament House near the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Emma's
mum Anne-Marie was
taking care of us.
We caught the ferry in the morning. It took about half an hour to get
to the city. We had trouble finding the place. Then we found the
Parliament House.
We were not sure if that was it or not.
We entered Parliament House and we were told to walk through the metal
detector. We had to wait in this room to get our stickers with our name
on it.
Next a guide came and asked for a couple of people because we had to go
up the lift to this room where everyone else was, including Brad
Hazzard.
He told us what it's like being in the debate. We moved to the green
house
called the Legislative Assembly where we were awarded a certificate
and a folder.
We went to the red room called the Legislative Council. He told us what
they do in the both of the rooms. We all had a photo with Brad Hazzard.
We shook his hand as we walked out the door. We said good-bye.
We caught the ferry on the way back and we arrived at school at 3:00pm
in the afternoon.
