Helping move the mulch.
By Jack
On Saturday the 9th of June, Brookvale Public School had a Working Bee. This is when the kids and their parents come to school to fix up the gardens and make the school better.
When I arrived I started moving mulch to a new garden then I had to smash some logs. We put some softfall under the big equipment then I spread some soil on the oval. The school looks really good, I had a great time.

On Saturday there was a Working Bee at our school between the hours of 1 O'clock and 4 O'clock. There were lots of jobs to do. My dad, sister, Vennesa and I had to spread woodchips under the big kids playground equipment.
Still moving mulch - Go Mr Taylor!
The other jobs were to move the mulch using a spade
and put it in a bin to move it and spread it on the gardens anywhere it
was needed. My dad, and another parent helped dig a hole to put a barrier
of logs to keep the mulch from coming onto the path. When we finished we
all got a cool drink. It was a hard and good day.
