Making the volcanoes.

By Allen

On May 11th, our school had Science Week. Our class had to join classes with 3-6W. We did 5 different experiments - Cats Meow, Baking Powder Volcano, Secret Code, OOblech and Homemade Slime.

They were given to us in a box with all the ingredients and rules how to make them. A teacher from our school Mrs. Winston, got the ingredients and put them in the containers and boxes.

Our group did Cats Meow first. We had to read the ingredients for the Cats Meow. We had food colouring,  milk and a cup, then we had to put the milk in the cup then the colours in each side. Then we have to wait a couple of minutes and not bump the table.

Making slime was fun.

After that we rotated to the other experiments, we had to do the OOblech next. OOblech is like glue but if you touch it real fast it won't stick on your finger but if you touch it real slow it will get stuck to you. When OOblech was finished we did the other activities. My favourite was Homemade Slime.

Our school got it on the newspaper for people to read too. It was GREAT.

Making secret codes.

By John

On the 7th to the 11th of May our school had Science Week and the teacher who organised was Mrs. Winston. We had to have Science classes for different days and we had to have our Science class was on the second day.

Making Blue Goo in 4/5G.

Our classes experiments were Erupting Volcanoes, Secret Codes, Making Slime, Cats Meow and Ooblech. My first experiment was Erupting Volcanoes and the ingredients came in a box. The ingredients were a bottle of vinegar, a cup, baking powder and water and we all put all those ingredients in the cup and we had to wait for it to come up with bubbles and when it came up it nearly blasted everywhere.

This was my favourite activity.

1/2M enjoyed Science Week activities.
