On Wednesday the 21st of March, Years 4 and 6 had their
teeth checked. We went down the Library where there were 3 dental nurses.
One of them checked the sheets. One was writing down the problems if they
found any.
We had to sit on chairs in a line and when someone has
finished, we move to the chair in front of us.
When it was my turn I had to give my sheet to one of the ladies.
We had to lean back and look up the ceiling for the lady to be able to check our teeth.
At the end we just went back to our classrooms and did
our normal school work. The dental nurses will come back another time to
tell us how to look after our teeth.
We brought back our parental permission notes.

This term we had dentists come to our school to check our teeth. Only the people who came with their note signed by their parents were allowed t get their teeth checked. There were 3 ladies that came, 2 of them were writing and the other one was checking our teeth. When it was our turn we had to give our notes to the 2 ladies who were writing.
They used a long handle mirror to look into our mouth to check our teeth. They had to change there gloves and instruments every time they looked into a new person's mouth.
The lady that was checking our teeth was saying numbers to the 2 ladies who were writing. The next day all the children who had their teeth checked got a note.
It said if they needed to go to the dentist or if their
teeth were okay.

On Wednesday 21st of March we had a Dental Clinic at the Library. SOKS stands for Save Our Kids Smile.
I waited in a queue for about 2 minutes and when I got checked in my mouth. I just opened my mouth wide.
After I went to the classroom to do my work.
I wonder if I will be a dentist
when I grow up?
