On the Wednesday the 12th of December Brookvale Public School had their Presentation Night.
There was a lot of awards that were handed out. Some of the awards were sports awards and trophies, 250 Reader Club Medallions for people who read 250 books, and a lot more. Also the band and choir performed. Class prizes included the dux of my year (Year 5) was Mimi and the dux of the school was Monica.
Captains and Prefects for next year were also announced. Tara and Homeher (captains) and the girl prefects were Lani, Eliza, Bree and Grace the boy prefects were John B, John H, Jack and Tony.
It was a great night and a lot of people won awards and performed items.

On Wednesday evening, the 12th of December, the students of Brookvale Public School held an event called Presentation Night. During Presentation Night, the teachers would call the students to come out and receive their awards.
To start off with, the two school
captains, Matilda and Joseph, welcomed the audience and each announced
a short message. We then sang the National Anthem, with the 5/6T teacher,
Mr Taylor, playing the piano. Mr Richard, the principal, then gave the
principal's report, followed by the school song. The Kindergarten Awards
were then presented by Mrs Patterson, the
Kindergarten teacher. Conducted
by Mrs McGrath, the choir teacher, the Choir sang Heal the World, followed
by the class awards. The class awards were presented in order from the
youngest classes.
The 250 Reader Club Medallions
were then presented by Mr Taylor. The 250 Reader Club Medallions are presented
to you if you read 250 books that year and you record them down. The Parent
and Citizens' report was then announced by Anne-Marie Bloomfield, who then
presented the General Awards. Arnaz Bana presented the school council report,
then presented the Linda Powell Memorial Award for Consistent Effort in
Year 6. Brad Hazzard then presented the Sela
Tupou Memorial Scholarship,
then the Frank Davidson Award for Citizenship.
The school band then performed Summer Lovin' and Uncle Cracker, conducted by Jason Smith, the music teacher, who then presented the May Weir Memorial Award for Music. Mrs McGrath presented the choir award followed by Miss Guina presenting the sports report.

by the marathon swimmer, Shelley Taylor-Smith, followed by Bruce Reidy
presenting the Dux of the school. Matilda and Joseph then announced the
Captains and Prefects for 2002. The Prefects and Captains for next year
are Tara, Eliza, Bree, Grace, Homeher, John B, John H, Jack, Tony and Lani.
Mr Richard made his concluding remarks, then the night was over. I really
enjoyed myself, even though I only received one award - an award for
working to an outstanding level.

On Wednesday the 12th, Brookvale Public School had an award Presentation Night and it was held at the hall starting at 7pm.
There were awards for all Kinda because they were going to graduate. Then there was Year One and dux for them was Alex, Year 2 was Rachel, Year 3 was Kirra-lee , Year 4 was Gabriella, Year 5 was Mimi and dux for Year 6 and as well for the whole school was Monica.
Then it was sports award for the Junior A's for winning the grand finals and then the champions which were Jenny for senior and me for junior A's and Laulea for junior B. Then it was junior and senior champion for running which were Katrina and John H for junior and Matilda and James for senior. The swimming Senior champion went to Eliza and James and the junior champions were Mimi and Rhys. The Choir and Band awards were presented then the Choir and Band performed.
The prefects and captains for next year were also announced. Prefects for the girls were Eliza, Bree, Grace and Lani, also for the boys were Jack, Tony, John B and John H then the captains were announced and they were Tara and Homeher. Also there were the Home Reading award if you got up to 250 but I didn't.
I had so much fun.

On Wednesday the 12th Brookvale Public School had their Presentation Night. It was held in the hall at 7:00pm.
There were heaps of awards such as class awards, choir awards, sports awards, reading awards for people who have read 250 books and lots more. They also said who the captains and prefects were for 2002. The prefects and captains for next year are Tara, Homeher, Eliza, Bree, Lani, Grace, Tony, Jack, John H and John B. I got three awards the band, Junior A Netball and 250 Reading Medallion.
It was a great night.
