On the 8th of February, Year 6 had a Peer Mediation training in the school hall. In Peer Mediation, we get to solve problems and we help people become friends with others. The Peer Mediators should not take sides.
We first talked about what Peer Mediation is and what kind of person can become a bully. We also watched half of a video which was about bullying happened in a High School in England and how the Peer Mediators solved the problems. After the video we did some worksheets about bullying and talked about what the victims would have felt and went out for recess.
After recess we watched the other half of the video and did some role plays with our partners. I like being a Peer Mediator because we get to solve problems and help people become friends again and make our school a better place.
Posters advertising Peer Mediators are ready for business.

At this time of the year, it is better having Peer Mediation in school, so Year 6 in our school had Peer Mediation training on Thursday the 8th of February.
We all went to the hall and started off with some of the meanings of what Peer Mediation was all about. We watched this video about Peer Mediation. It was recorded in England & these stories were true, then it was recess.
Next, we watched the rest of the video because we didn't get to watch the whole video before recess & then we did some hard work. For lunch, we had a free hot dog and a can of drink.
After lunch, we did a role play of some stories &
then we packed up for home time.

A few weeks ago Year 6 had a Peer Mediation Training. Peer Mediation is about helping solve problems and stop bulling happening at the school. Only Year 6's run Peer Mediation and we've got partners.
First of all we watched a video about people bullying each other and it was bad. In the video people were constantly bulling them every day like punching, kicking, teasing and many more.
After that we had to do some work sheets, it was about bullying. It was fun and I enjoyed it. Then it was little lunch. When we came back from little lunch we talked about what we did before. Then we watched the rest of the video. It showed us that the people who were being bullied were the people who helped solve the problem.
We didn't have to bring our lunch because the school provided it for us. We had a hot dog and a can of drink. When lunch time was finished we went back into the hall and talked back about what happened in the video and did some work.
We did some role plays about Peer Mediation to see how it would be.
