Every Thursday of every second week, class 5/6T does recycling in the school. We always make a fuss about who's going to bring the bin up or down the stairs but we always get an agreement. Sometimes students from our class are absent and we have to replace them so our partners are by themselves and they do double work.
First we form into pairs, each pair go into different classrooms each, collect the green recycling bins that's only filled with paper. Sometimes students accidentally throw rubbish into the paper recycling bin and we have to pull it out.
Of course we have to empty the recycling bins into a big green bin that's in the playground that the truck collects. Next, one of our partners have to bring the recycling bin back to the class and we all have to wash our hands. After that we have our lunch immediately because the bell always ring when we are finished.
Besides helping the environment by saving trees being knocked down, our school gets given new paper by the company once a term as payment. The more we recycle, the more free paper the school gets.

In our school we recycle paper. In every class there is a big green recycling bin and a normal rubbish bin.
Every 2nd Thursday, about ten minutes before lunch, class 5/6T go around to all of the classrooms with recycling bins and take them down to the big recycling bin in the playground and pour the paper in. Usually there are a few bits of rubbish that accidentally go into the recycling bins, but one of us hops into the bin and pulls it out, and then of course we wash our hands.

Every Thursday, everyone in Year 6 collects the recycle bin from every class. There are recycling bins in all the classrooms and each person has a different bin to do. All the bins are emptied into a larger bin outside. It is a good thing we recycle because a school produces a lot of paper and it saves waste.
