An Optometrist, Mr Robson came to Brookvale Public School. He checked the kids eyes at our school.

Lucas and I got the people from the classes. He checked eyes right up till lunch, he did all of the classes.

He found out the the kids who need glasses, they have to go and get their eyes checked again to get their glasses.

On the 29th of May, Years 1 to 6 got to check their eyes. We had to go to the IT Centre. The person who was checking our eyes was Mr Robson.

Mr Robson came with his equipment. Some of the equipment he came with was a flipper, a retinoscope, a near phoria card and some others.

Everybody that came had to read these letters that was on the white board. The letters started from big to small, for some people was hard to read and some people could read okay. But we had to cover one eye with our hand then the other so that he can see if that our we need glasses or not.

Mr Robson was writing down records on the piece of paper that we gave him. He will write to our parents if we need to get our eyes checked further.

It will help lots of kids at school.

On the 29th of May, Years 1 to 6 went to the library to get their eyes checked. The man's name who checked our eyes was Mr. Robson, he is an Optometrist. Some people already have glasses but they still got their eyes checked. We had to sit down and read a book while we were waiting for the other person to finish. He had a lot of equipment. Some of his equipment were called a flipper, retinoscope and a near phoria card.

First he asked us to read some letters that was on a card on a wall. It went largest to smallest in a row. It was easy at the top but hard at the three last rows. He asked us to see if we can see through some lenses. Then he got a ruler with a bird on the top and put it in front us and we had follow it with our eyes.

It was a very good idea to always get your eyes checked especially for Year 6's who will be going to high school.
