Mayor Moxham making a speech.
On Local Government Week, the Mayor came to Brookvale Public School. He came to our school because we did a Special Project on Warringah Council and put it up on the internet on our Home Page. He was there to launch it.
Before the Mayor got started our teacher Mr Taylor made a short speech, then the Mayor made his speech, he told how great Brookvale School Home Page looked with lots of interesting information about Warringah Council.
After the Mayor made his speech Monica a student made a little thank you speech.

During Local Government Week, on Wednesday July 24th, the Mayor of Warringah Council came to Brookvale Public School to launch our school website.
He complimented us on our website and said it was really, really good. He also gave a speech, and told us what local government did for the community, to help the people and make things more easy to do. After the Mayor's speech, Monica, one of the prefects, gave a speech to thank the Mayor for coming in his own time.
We really appreciated what he did for our school, and we would like to thank him for contributing our school so were could learn what happens in a local government, and learn how the local government helps our community.
Discussing the topic in the chamber.
