Reading to our grandparents.
By Jake
On Thursday, 15th of March it was the Grandparents and Friends Day. When they got there we were writing stories about the Goldfields. I got to go on the computer. I found about 700 ounces of gold and £8762, (just on the computer though, not for real).
When the grandparents left it was lunctime.

Grandparents day is when all your grandparents come to visit your school. They look at your school work to show them your work you have done.
We showed them how we construct Lego, go on the internet and show them around the Hill End Ranch site where we are going to stay on our excursion.
We took them down stairs to the Library. Some donated
a book. Some kids in our class went up to the canteen and made morning
tea. When it was lunch every grandparent went home. I think they enjoyed
themselves.

Our school had a Grandparents Day and my Grandad came down from Newcastle which is about 150kms. I showed him around the school. All the grandparents got food and drink and then my grandad left to go home to Newcastle.
In the classroom we used the Lego and computer and I showed my Grandad. Then we went to the I.T. Centre
Our Librarian, Mrs Neill.
