On Easter Thursday which was the last day or Term 1, our school had an Easter Service. It was just like going to church but there were dances and children singing. Easter is about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We didn't have our Easter Service on Friday because it was a public holiday. We had the Easter Service at Thursday instead of scripture.
Annalisa, James, Mitchell and I read some things. Annalisa was running the whole thing, James read the prayer, Mitchell read the reading of the death of Jesus Christ and I did the reading for resurrection.
Then there were children singing. A few girls including me did a dance for the song Lord. It was also a dance for Easter. It was a little silly but fun.
It was a very nice day.

The Easter Service was to let us celebrate Jesus, who
died for us on the cross on Good Friday so we could be forgiven for our
sins, and rose again on Easter Sunday. This is why we celebrate Easter
as a public holiday, so we can remember Jesus as the son of God that gave
us a chance to be forgiven.
